Look Who's Talking

These are some short clips of our Sasha girl cooing and talking.  She has just recently discovered her voice and her coos and gurgles are music to our ears.  We love listening to her "talk" to us.  In these videos taken yesterday, Sasha is talking to me while her Dada videotapes.  She gives me the biggest smiles and coos and that, of course, just makes my day!

P.S. Please excuse my deep voice in these videos, I was suffering from one of 4 nasty colds I got back to back in mid December through January.

Caught on Camera

Sasha smiling that is!  Finally!  Sasha was looking at me and smiling while her Dada took pictures.  Her smiles melt me every time!  Sweet, sweet girl!!

Maybe She's Born With It!

You know the Maybelline mascara commericial jingle? "Maybe she's born with it! Maybe it's Maybelline!"  Well, in Sasha's case, she was definitely born with it...beautiful, long eyelashes that is.  This cutie does not need any mascara!!  Just the other day, I noticed how long her eyelashes are and how nicely arched they are, beautifully framing her eyes.

So today, I snapped away with my camera trying to capture her puurtty long lashes!

Now that she is smiling, I also tried to get her smiles on camera, but that proved to be more difficult.  These below are somewhat of a smile.

Yep, her brother still has his long eyelashes.  And I am still jealous of them!  Check them out below.

Socially Smiling

I can officially say that Sasha is socially smiling and cooing now.  Last night, when David was trying to burp Sasha, I got in front of her to say "hi" and she gave me a smile.  She did this three times.  It just absolutely melted my heart.

Today, she has smiled at me several times.  She has also started cooing to me.  If I make the sound that she makes (which sounds like "ehyeow") then she gets excited, moves her arms excitedly, purses her lips together for a bit trying to formulate a sound and then she says "ehyeow" back to me.  I love, love, love this!  The fact that she is starting to interact with us and looking at the world around her is so fun for us to see.  She still sleeps about 80% of the time, but when she is awake, she is definitely more alert and curious.  Her favorite thing seems to be looking at the ceiling and the light fixtures and fans in the ceiling.  She will smile at them.  She also smiles at the turtle hanging from her bouncy seat.

Just Chillin'

Sasha was just hanging out checking out her surroundings while laying on her Dada today.  She looked so cute that I had to take some pictures of course.  

Who says the third child doesn't get photographed much?!?!  Not in this family =:)

Finally!

 

I feel like most of the pictures we take of Sasha do not capture her the way we see her with our eyes on a day to day basis.  Miss Curious always opens her eyes really big whenever we bring out the camera to photograph her and thus she always looks surprised or apprehensive in most pictures.  But today, we snapped some pictures right before her bath and I think the above picture truly captures what she looks like...her sweet, delicate, beautiful, kissable little face that we love so much.  Finally!!

I also love to snuggle her when she is naked.  Is there anything better than ultra smooth, velvety, squishy newborn skin?!?!  So whenever she is naked, you will find me doing a lot of this.  I am in heaven.

Pretty Girl
