Fashio Show

Sasha was wearing another cute outfit today and of course, I had to take tons of pictures of her in it.  Those pink and beige leopard print pants kill me. So cute!

I love the impish look on her face in this next picture.

Then I added a bow to her hair to complete her look.

Then Stella wanted to get in on the action.  I love all of these pictures of my two girls together.

Sisters!  May they always be this close!

Des followed suit and wanted in on the pictures, although he wasn't very interested in looking at the camera.

Sunny Day

It was a beautiful day here today in Northwest Arkansas, and so we headed outside to our backyard to play.

First up is a picture of Stella with her two top teeth missing.

Sasha enjoyed her time in the swing all the sun was in her eye so she kept them closed for most of the time she was swinging.

Then we have my handsome guy Des climbing up the rock wall.

I just love this picture of Des even though it's blurry.

Slippery When Wet

Here's my little peanut after her bath yesterday.  She is still a petite little thing, but in these pictures, she is looking kind of pudgy.

My Lunch with Stella

I took advantage of Ommy and Poppa's presence by going to have lunch with my Stella yesterday (3/16) for the very first time.  It was pizza day and I thought I was going to purchase pizza along with Stella to eat but after looking at the pizza, I changed my mind =;)
Unfortunately, my lunch with her didn't go so well.  She and I had a battle about eating lunch because Stella was wasting time and not eating due to her top center loose tooth.  She didn't want to bite with it.  And by the time she stood in line and got her lunch, she only had 15 minutes to eat before lunch period was over.  So I was urging her to eat and not dilly dally, but she didn't like that and was getting upset with me.
When lunch was over, I walked her back to her classroom and when I got ready to leave, she started bawling her eyes out because she didn't want me to leave.  She wanted me to stay with her in the class and watch her do things for the rest of the day. I stayed and talked with her for awhile to calm her down and soothe her but she still cried when I finally left.  It was hard for me to see her crying while I walked out of the classroom.
But another mom of one of Stella's classmates (who was in the classroom at the same time and left shortly after I did) told me that once I left, she was fine and stopped crying.  She called it "mama drama."

Ommy & Poppa Visits

Ommy and Poppa flew in today for a week long visit with us.  Last time we saw them was when Sasha was born so it's been awhile and they missed their grandkids.
While they were here, they got to go to one of Stella's soccer game.

They flew kites with the kids.  That was a lot of fun.

They also went to have lunch with Stella at school, but I forgot to get those pictures from Ommy's camera.  David and I had plans to take advantage of the grandparents' visit and go on a date night but unfortunately, David came down with a nasty cold while they were here.  We did manage to go to the movies one night.  We really enjoyed Ommy and Poppa's visit with us and look forward to seeing them again soon.

Sasha's 4 month check up

Sasha had her 4 month well check up today and here are her stats:
Weight -  12.5 lbs (25%)
Height -  23.5 inches (20%)
Head size - 18.34 in (75th)

She is our peanut, just a petite little thing although when I see her naked, it's hard for me to believe that she is only in the 25th % for weight because I see lots and lots of pudge on her.  The doctor said she is doing great!
Poor thing also got two shots on her thigh and was not  happy at all after wards.  She was mad and let us know it by crying for a long time after wards.

Stella & Another Lost Tooth

Stella lost another tooth today...her top center left tooth.  Well it was more like David pulled it out because it was hindering her from eating because she didn't want to bite down on anything with the loose tooth.  Everything is much better now with that tooth gone.

Desmond's First Visit to the Dentist

Des and I had appointments with the dentist today and it was Desmond's first ever dental checkup.  He was initially nervous about going and was balking a little bit but ended up doing a GREAT job once we got there!!  They started my cleaning first so that Des could observe and get comfortable before they started on him.  And the plan was for Meagan, our dental hygienist, to clean Des's teeth after she finished with mine.  But 5 minutes into my cleaning, another dental hygienist became available and asked Des if it was ok for her to clean his teeth.  Des bravely agreed, followed the hygienist to the cubicle next to mine (it's partitioned so that we could only hear each other, but not see each other) and got his teeth cleaned and his teeth examined by the dentist all by himself, without me there, and without any tears or complaints.  I couldn't believe it!  I was so, so proud of him.  I was able to snap some pictures when Meagan applied the fluoride to Des's teeth.

Lady In Red

Sasha is wearing this adorable velvet outfit that Ommy bought for her and of course, I had to take some pictures of my lil' Lady in Red!

Even though this picture is blurry, I love it because of the huge smile Sasha has on her face.  She is laughing at her big sister and brother who were jumping around her doing silly stuff to make her laugh.  And it worked!

A Date with Des

I had a date with my favorite lil' guy today and it was so fun to just be with him, just the two of us.  First we went to Hobby Lobby so that he could pick out a toy/craft of his choosing for having read-out-loud 5 books.  Des has a sticker chart for reading and for every book he reads, he gets a sticker, and for every 5 books he reads, he gets a prize.  He is reading the BOB books just like Stella did and is enjoying it.  Des's attention span and his ability to sit and read before getting distracted by something else is also increasing day by day.

Anyway, back to the date.  At Hobby Lobby Des picked out a wind-up caterpillar toy as well as a froggy boo boo ice pack.
Here he is showing off his prizes.

After Hobby Lobby, we went to a restaurant called Grubs to eat.  It was our first time there and we loved it.  The food was really yummy.  I attempted to take pictures of the two of us before our food came, but my short arms, my squirmy date, and the dim lighting made it a challenge.  But I still love these pix because of the happy smiles on my happy boy's face.
Des was so appreciative of our date and time together and kept telling me how much fun he was having and how much he loves me.  Oh, how I love this sweet boy.  I can't wait to go on another date again, Bud Bud!

Stella Loses Another Tooth

Stella lost her top right center incisor today at school during lunchtime.  Dada predicted it in the morning that she would lose it today at school and he was right.  She was eating lunch, biting into a corn dog and the tooth came out into her mouth.  She told me that she was so scared that she was going to swallow it, but luckily she didn't.  She told one of the teachers who then sent her to the nurse's office.  When I picked her up at school at the end of the day, I immediately noticed her missing tooth as she was smiling and waving the tiny tooth shaped container the nurse had given her to put her tooth in.  The top left center incisor is also loose and somehow with the one next to it gone, it has shifted in place towards the center of her mouth creating a large gap between it and the tooth next to it.  I am her mother and I can say that it looks pretty goofy =:)  She need to lose this one too because it is preventing her from eating well because she is too afraid to bite into food now.

D-E-S-M-O-N-D

We were playing outside with chalk on the driveway today, when Des asked me to help him spell his name.  He wrote his name all by himself and was so proud of it.  The first "D" is backwards, but that's OK!  I am very proud of Des's interest in reading and writing these days.  We also wrote everyone's names on caterpillars.  It's so great that the weather is getting milder and we can spend some time outside!
