Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

Even though we got our Chrismtas tree yesterday, we didn't have time to decorate it yesterday.  All we had time to do was set it up in its stand inside the house.  That's how it goes when there is a newborn around.  The kids were begging to decorate and so today, they got their chance.  Dada strung the lights, I strung the ribbon, and the kids put on the shatterproof ornaments.

As you can see, most of the ornaments ended up in clusters on the bottom half of the tree =:)  Normally, I am the one in charge of decorating the tree.  But this year, because of my responsibilities with Sasha, I was relieved of my duties.  All I did was string the ribbon on the tree and Dada, Stella, and Des took care of the rest.  Since I am retro-posting, I can tell you that it took several days for them to finish decorating the tree, but the kids had fun and we ended up with a beautiful Christmas tree.

Bye, Bye Amamma!

We said goodbye to Amamma today.  Amamma was with us for two weeks and took good care of us during those 2 weeks. She cooked, cleaned, did laundry, tended to the kids, and played with them, allowing me and David to rest a bit and we really appreciated every bit of her help.

We didn't take any pics of Amamma during the 2 weeks she was here, so we made sure that we got some pictures today prior to heading out to the airport.  Unfortunately, Sasha was not interested in pictures today and was fussing to go to sleep during the whole thing.

Three generations!

We all went to the Ft. Smith airport (which is about 45 minutes away) to drop Amamma off.  It was Sasha's first long car ride and she did great as long as the car was moving.  We stopped at Lowes on the way home and picked up our Christmas tree.  Now we just have to decorate it!

Sasha's Second Sponge Bath

Sasha had her second sponge bath today.  The above are some pictures of Sasha undressed right before her bath.  I totally think she looks like one of those Emperor baby penguins like this one. Soo cute!!!

Unlike her first one, Sasha didn't tolerate her second sponge bath so much.  She cried during the body bathing portion of it.

But when Dada was washing her hair, she calmed down and seemed to enjoy it.  Who doesn't like a nice head massage?!?!

After the bath, Sasha snuggled with her Mama for a long nap!  I swear, I could hold her all day long if I could!!!

Big Boy

Desmond is wearing his new Steeler jacket that Ommy brought down for him.  I didn't take these pictures, David did and when I was going through them, all I could think was "Des looks like such a big boy!!!"

Goofballs!!!

Dada then wanted to get a picture of all three kids, but instead of posing nicely, Stella and Des were goofing around making each other laugh.  It still made for some cute pics though.  Sasha was probably wondering what the heck was going on!

Big Bro, Lil' Sis

After watching Stella, Des wanted to hold his baby sister too, and so he did, with a little assist from Dada.

Big Sis, Lil' Sis

Stella wanted to hold her baby sister and we obliged.  Stella was so loving and kept kissing Sasha on her head while she was holding her.
