MVP

MVP...Moose Valuable Player. That's what Desmond's shirt says. Mama loves this cute outfit and it's perfect for the chilly fall weather we've been experiencing lately. Des looks like such a big boy standing there. These are size 18 months, so I guess he is a big boy. The shirt fits him great but the pants are a little long, but no worries, Mama just rolls them up at the bottom, and our little MVP is good to go.

Sunday Afternoon at the Park

While Mama went out shopping, Dada took the kids to the park this afternoon. They had a fun time swinging

...sliding

...kicking the soccer ball around

...and just pallin' around.

Des walked with Dada while kicking the soccer ball and also slid down the slide on his belly all by himself!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

After her bath today, Stella went into Mama's bathroom drawer and applied blush all over her face. And she didn't use the blush brush to do so, but just applied the blush directly to her face! LOL! She was told not to do this in the future, but we couldn't stop from laughing at the whole situation and how ridiculous she looked.

She has really turned into a Mama's girl lately, wanting to do everything Mama is doing and preferring Mama to Dada every single time. We're guessing it's a phase she is going through but she has been doing this since July or so and her preference for Mama is only getting more and more intense with each day that goes by. Mama's just trying to enjoy it because she knows that it is only a matter of time before Stella is back to being a Daddy's girl.

Train Ride to the Zoo

We went to the National Zoo today and we rode the metro down. This was Desmond's first metro ride and he, along with Stella, thought it was sooo fun. Stella kept saying "this is such a fun ride".
Miss Stella stylin' in her shades

It's so cute to see Desmond's smiling face through the stroller canopy (notice how he's holding onto the pole).

Stella's favorite animal at the zoo was the elephant. She loves Lumpy the elephant on the show My friends Tigger and Pooh. When we asked her once, "Stella, do you like Lumpy?", she said, "Oh, I do love that elephant!" She cracks us up!

Here's Mr. Des getting a good view of the elephants from atop his Dada's shoulders

Here's Stella checking out the lion

Soon after we left the elephant house, Des took a nap in the stroller...he was worn out from all the crying he did earlier today when he got his blood drawn to check for lead levels (a routine test for babies that are crawling)...luckily, the nurse found his vein on the first stick.

We finished of our fun trip to the zoo with some vanilla gelatto...yummy. Des tried some too and he was a big fan.

Pretty in Pink...& Plaid

Stella is sporting a cute pink and plaid outfit that her Appachen got her recently. Mama just loves the outfit and how Stella's hair looked today. Mama wanted to capture Stella' precious smile but it took a lot of takes...Stella just wasn't interested in getting her picture taken. She looks so grown up here...time is going by too fast!

Who's Your Mommy?

When Dada and Mama went out to dinner for their date night, Ommy called us on our cell phone so that Stella could chat with us for a few minutes. Ommy had Mama on speaker phone while Mama was talking to Stella. Upon hearing Mama's voice over the speaker phone, Desmond crawled over to the phone and said "mama mama mama" over and over again. That just completely melted Mama's heart! Little man knows who his Mama is.

Got Milk?

As we mentioned before, Desmond can do the sign language for milk. Well today, when Mama heard Desmond waking up in the morning, she checked on him on the video monitor. Desmond was sitting up and doing the sign language for milk. It was so cute and pathetic. He was doing the sign for milk, even though there was nobody there in his room, hoping someone will fulfill his request. Needless to say, Mama put down the video monitor and went and scooped up her little man and gave him his milk promptly.
