We went to the National Zoo today and we rode the metro down. This was Desmond's first metro ride and he, along with Stella, thought it was sooo fun. Stella kept saying "this is such a fun ride".

Stella's favorite animal at the zoo was the elephant. She loves Lumpy the elephant on the show
My friends Tigger and Pooh. When we asked her once, "Stella, do you like Lumpy?", she said, "Oh, I do love that elephant!" She cracks us up!

Soon after we left the elephant house, Des took a nap in the stroller...he was worn out from all the crying he did earlier today when he got his blood drawn to check for lead levels (a routine test for babies that are crawling)...luckily, the nurse found his vein on the first stick.
We finished of our fun trip to the zoo with some vanilla gelatto...yummy. Des tried some too and he was a big fan.
