Holy Snow Batman!

It started snowing early morning and it snowed and snowed and snowed.  Almost like a blizzard.  They were only predicting 4-6 inches, but I think we had 6 inches of snow by 6:30 AM this morning.  All in all, we ended up getting 16-18 inches of snow.  So we are snowed in again!  I don't mind it; I like having all of my family together inside where it is nice and warm and cozy while the snow piles up outside.  David is getting antsy though because of all of the work he has to do that is not getting done.  Also, this will definitely delay the end of school for Stella because they have already used up their allotted snow days.

More Fun in the Snow

Today is Saturday and we got more snow overnight.  So David and the kids were out again to play.  The kids are sure getting a lot of use out of the snow boots Ommy got for them.

First up, Dada and the kids decided to build a snowman.

In light of the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers are set to play in the Super Bowl tomorrow, Dada dressed up the snow man in one of our all time favorite Pittsburgh Steeler's player's jersey, Hines Ward.

Then the kids decided to give the snowman a mustache so he ended up looking like this.

After the snowman was complete, the kids did some sledding.

Snowed In

We got about 6 inches of snow Tuesday and since then we have been snowed in.  In the South, it doesn't take much for us to be snowed in.  Stella has not had school since Monday.  The university was closed Tues through Thurs.  David just went to work today.  And we are supposed to get more snow today but temps are supposed to be in the 40s over the weekend so some should melt.

More Playtime on the Mat

Sasha is enjoying her time on the mat more and more and we just keep taking pictures.

Sunny Days...

It was a beautiful day today with a high temperature of 72 in January so we decided to go to the park and have a picnic lunch.  We picked up some yummy pizza from Mellow Mushroom and had a nice lunch outside in the park.  We forgot our camera so all we have are these iphone pictures. 

Sasha wasn't so sure she liked all of this bright sunshine since she is not used to it from being cooped up inside due to the cold temperatures since her birth.

Another Visit to the Dentist

Stella and Dada had their semi-annual dentist appointment today and as always, Stella was super excited about it.  Everything checked out great.  No cavities!  Yeah!! Dada took the above picture of Stella with his iPhone while Stella was getting her teeth cleaned. 
The ladies there (as well as David) tell me that Stella is a non-stop chatter box talking about any and every subject under the sun from school related things to Sasha to Des, etc.  Whatever pops into her brain, she verbalizes it.  I guess she feels comfortable with the gals there.  I am glad that she has a positive relationship with the whole dental staff and looks forward to going there.  Next month, I have my appointment and I plan on taking Des for his first visit now that he is 3.

Just Plain Cute

I found these pictures on David's iPhone and I thought that they were just plain cute.

First up, we have the many faces of Sasha.  The pictures are blurry because she is a squirmy wormy who is constantly moving and she shows her excitement and joy in seeing us by moving her arms, legs, and her whole body.

Stella and Des love, love, love to play on the computer.  And this is how David found them earlier in the night, in front of the computer, sharing a chair with their arms around each other, enjoying the Disney Channel website.  By the way, they both know how to get on the internet, go to their favorite sites either by selecting it from bookmarks or typing it in a google search, and to bookmark sites they like.
